如果您正在試圖檢測一個數(shù)量極少的抗原特異性T 細胞群，您就會理解擁有一個敏感、準確、并能產生可重復性結果的研究工具的重要性，而這正是Pro5® 五聚體所能提供的。五聚體與具有某特定特異性（由主要組織相容性復合物(MHC) 等位基因和肽的組合決定）的T 細胞受體直接結合。五聚體可用于檢測和分離僅占淋巴細胞0.02% 的稀少抗原特異性CD8+T 細胞群。五聚體還適用于詳細的表位表征和其他免疫監(jiān)測。

與學術性和非盈利性來源的質量和穩(wěn)定性均不穩(wěn)定的四聚體不同，五聚體得益于優(yōu)異的設計，并依照包含許多嚴格的質量控制步驟在內的行業(yè)標準而生產。利用五聚體技術可以獲得準確且可重復的結果。Pro5®五聚體由五個MHC-肽復合物經一個卷曲螺旋結構域組合構成。借其平面構型，五聚體中的所有五個MHC-肽復合物均可用于結合互補的T細胞受體(TCR)。每個五聚體還包含高達5 個熒光或標簽以實現(xiàn)明亮且有效的標記。相比之下， MHC 四聚體技術依賴于四面體結構的MHC-肽復合物，由于空間結構的原因，可以用于TCR 結合的MHC-肽復合物不超過3 個。
